Why this potty training chart works

Potty training runs on encouragement, not pressure — and nothing encourages a toddler like a sticker they earned. Marking each success across the day makes progress visible and celebratory, gives you natural moments to praise, and keeps the whole thing positive even on the wobbly days.

How to use it

  1. Print the PDF (US Letter or A4) and put it at child height near the bathroom.
  2. Add a sticker for every success, time of day by day of the week.
  3. Cheer each one, ignore the accidents, and let the filling chart do the motivating.

Pairs well with: Reward Chart · Behaviour Chart · Kids Routine Chart

Questions

How does the potty chart work?+

Each row is a time of day, each column a day of the week. Your child adds a sticker for every success — a simple, visual way to cheer on progress without pressure.

What if there are accidents?+

Totally normal — keep the focus on the wins. Only mark successes, never failures, so the chart always feels encouraging. Accidents just mean the next sticker is still to come.
